Documentation, development and testing may be repeated several times until software integrity and safety has been proven. This can be a significant obstacle to the validation effort and the project as a whole due to the unavailability the appropriate resources and the amount of time required to accomplish the task.      Review and approval can be expedited through careful pre-planning and preparation, transforming review and approval from a bottleneck to a streamlines process.      Ultimately, as part of review and approval, both quantitative and qualitative results of the validation effort are presented and evaluated by the validation board. Review and approval can take as little as 2 weeks but more often takes longer, so allow for plenty of time when planning the effort.      Eventually a final review and approval is performed to acknowledge the application’s readiness to support users. Then the finished product is released for installation and general use.
